How do you domesticate a roguish space archeologist who is addicted to adventure?

Answer: You can’t.

When Professor Giles Kurns discovered a crucial piece of intel he returns to the ArchAngel command ship with a compelling argument for him to be allowed to reopen an old research project.

But this time, it was more than intellectual curiosity.

The continued existence of the Federation, and perhaps all species in the Loop and Pan Galaxies were at stake.

Having convinced General Lance Reynolds of the imminent significance of his findings, Giles and his partner in crime, Arlene Bailey, set out to the Orn System for a spot of tomb raiding.

Together with the Empress’s old covert ops war ship, fully equipped with Gate technology and a rather spunky AI, they embark on a swashbuckling adventure of danger and intrigue to uncover the truth about the Ascension Myth.

Will they solve the riddle of the strange but powerful talismans before it’s too late?

Sometimes, it doesn’t pay to get out of bed in the morning.

For Giles Kurns, he is ready to not only get out of bed, but ready to get back into the field and start tracking a new lead for a relic the Federation wants.

Unfortunately, When he and Arlene come close to the potential lead, they find a complication in the ship, and a world that has their own problems.

Problems Giles believes he can help solve.

The only problem is Giles will have to get his hands dirty to accomplish the impossible…
